Meet Chandra Morice with Arete Initiative

Meet Chandra Morice with Arete Initiative, leaders in the art of guiding people and organizations towards achieving greater passion and purpose.

Chandra works in the roles of Marketing and Content Librarian within the Arete Team environment.  Her strengths show through daily as she passionately works with businesses and communities to positively impact the lives of its people, their communities, and greater planet.

“As a marketing communications consultant, I really enjoy digging into and unbundling challenges within an organization to uncover and create a marketing and communications strategy that helps people and their organizations grow - while they connect with the greater community in which they do business in - all while trying to be good citizens and leave as little impact on the earth,” she said.

Chandra’s bright personality and fun sense of humor easily guides individuals and groups through a process that leaves people feeling both empowered and focused as they embark on their journey.  In addition, her talent to uniquely design, strategize, coordinate, create, and execute marketing communication plans provide clients with a future-oriented roadmap to create opportunities towards success.

When I asked Chandra how she stays so full of life, her response was, “I love spending time with family and friends, taking on a good furnishing refinishing project, meditating and some form of physical fitness daily, reading, and listening to music—especially live music!” she also said, “And when possible, I love to travel, and meet new people and experience new countries, cultures, food, and drink!”

Chandra has been married to her best friend and greatest love, Joel. They just celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary in the fall of 2020.  Together they have very chatty and sweet 4-year-old daughter, Esmae and a 7-month-old Weimaraner puppy named Banksy.  The entire family are outdoor enthusiasts who can typically be found spending much of their spare time hiking, rock climbing or camping in the mountains.

“There is something energetic that happens to me when I arrive in nature…it’s like any worries or stress that I might have been holding are instantly shed from my mind and body with the first inhalation of forest scents and fresh mountain air,” she said.

When asked who her hero is, her response was, “I believe that we all have a little hero in each of us.”  Chandra’s belief is that heroism comes about through the big or small actions we each undertake every day.  And that sometimes heroism comes through in the simple act of listening or lending a hand to someone in need, and sometimes in the big actions of standing up for someone who cannot stand up for themselves, or standing firm for a topic you believe in, or providing aid or help in a crisis or emergency.

Some favorite books in Chandra’s collection include:
(1) Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden
(2) Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
(3) A Walk In The Woods by Bill Bryson.

Each of these books represent how she chooses to bring out her creativity, love of culture and people, travel and adventure.  Chandra truly believes in living each day to the fullest.  She brings out an incredible ability to be honest, brave, determined, and courageous and adds in a delightful touch of playful mischievousness for good measure!
